Want to give customers complete control over their meals? With the $75/mo Custom Meal Builder ordering system, customers can customize which food, and how much of it, they want for each part of their meal, within parameters you set, of course. After confirming your purchase of this add-on with a Sprwt representative, follow this guide to set up your CMB items.

  1. Define your category options
    1. By default, the four parts of the meal will be Proteins, Carbs, Vegetables, and Sauces. If instead you want customers to choose a salad, a soup, a side, or 2, you can change these categories.
    2. Make sure you've completed your Order configurations for all the ordering systems you plan to use. Click here to see how.
  2. Create your items
    1. With the Custom Meal Builder, customers will choose what Ingredient or Sub-Recipe they want for each part of the meal. You can manage which items are available, and in what quantities.
      1. Any Ingredient/Sub-Recipe offered as a CMB item can still be used in Meal Recipes as normal. Custom Meals will have their own Cooking and Fulfillment reports, but in the Sub-Recipe Report, the items will be combined with other recipes that call for them.
    2. Go to Admin Dashboard > Kitchen > Ingredients or Sub-Recipes
    3. Click on an existing Ingredient/Sub-Recipe to offer it as a CMB item, or create a new one.
    4. Scroll past the Cooking Instructions to the Custom Meal Builder section.
    5. CATEGORY: Turn on the Show as XXX toggle for the category (or categories) that this item will be offered in.
    6. AMOUNT: Under 1 measure, list the amount increment in which this item can be sold in, and under Min Custom Quantity and Max Custom Quantity, specify the range of the number of measures that a customer can choose to add this item into their meal.
      1. The unit that appears is the same as the Base Unit you’ve listed for the Ingredient/Sub-Recipe itself under Base Info.
      2. Ex: 1 measure = 2 oz; Min Qty = 2; Max Qty = 4 è customers can either have 4 oz, 6 oz, or 8 oz
    7. PRICES: Under Base Price, list the price that this item will cost. This does not varywith the quantity that customers choose.
      1. To add prices that will vary, click the plus button next to Quantity Pricing. Under Product Quantity, enter the number of measures after which the price will increase, by the amount that you put under Price Increase. You can add as many of these Quantity Pricings as you need.
